OVERVIEW
Samburu National Reserve is a rugged and semi-desert park located in Samburu district in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The park neighbors the homes of the Samburu tribe of Kenya, a tribe known for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life.
Samburu Game reserve stands as one of the most beautiful Kenya Parks in Northern Circuit. It holds the most indigenous wildlife as well as the home of African Elephants and beautiful species of Zebras and the Masai Giraffes.

The park also hosts a number of birds including; blue-skinned Somali ostrich, which you’ll see stepping out across the plains, the Samburu ecosystem’s oasis of vegetation in this arid region supports a very wide range of smaller birds, and birdwatchers can expect to see several dozen species on the average game drive. You’re not likely to miss the big flocks of vividly plumaged helmeted and vulturine guinea fowl, while among the many birds of prey, pygmy falcon and martial eagle from opposite ends of the raptor spectrum are both easily seen, as are Kori, Heuglin’s and buff-crested bustards, and lots of weavers, shrikes, woodpeckers and flycatchers.

ITINERARY
Day1: Depart Nairobi -Samburu
Our driver guide will pick you from the your hotel at 0730hrs or Airport and drive north to Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at Sopa lodge. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive as from 1600hrs until dusk.Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
This day will be spent exploring this amazing game reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu Game Reserve offers a wide range of attractions. It is home to the Samburu tribe who are also pastoralists. Owasso Nyiro River which runs along the southern boundary is home to crocodile and hippo with the many animals visiting to drink during the heat of the day. In Samburu you are likely to spot buffalo, leopard, lion, cheetah, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe and other plains game.Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 3: Samburu -Nairobi
On this day you will have an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Later check out and depart for Nairobi with a stopover on the way for lunch to arrive in Nairobi late afternoon. Drop of at the hotel or the airport to catch your flight back home.
