Tour description: Tsavo West is characterized by diverse habitats, river forest, plains, lakes and grassland. Amboseli is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa and Salt Lick Lodge built like a medieval fortress.
Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa-Tsavo West National Park
In the morning you will be picked from your beach hotel and depart by road to Tsavo West National Park. Arriving in Kilaguni Serena Lodge in time for lunch. The park offers tremendous views with diverse habitats, ranging from mountains, rivers, forests, plains, lakes and wooded grassland. Kilaguni Serena Lodge is situated in the center of Tsavo West National Park with stupendous view of Chyulu Hills and snowcapped Mt.Kilimanjaro.After lunch you will have a game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo West National Park-Amboseli National Park
Have an early morning game drive, the best time to see the rich birdlife of East Africa and return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart after breakfast with a game drive enroute over the Shetani Lava flows to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. The lodge is set in the heart of Amboseli National Park making it almost camouflage in the surrounding bushes as it is built to resemble the Maasai Manyatta homestead. After lunch, you will set off for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Back to the lodge for a barbeque dinner set under a canopy of trees on the banks of Enkong Narok Swamp with a spectacular view of game. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park-Taita Hills
Have an early morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. Depart after breakfast to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge. After lunch, game drive in the sanctuary until sunset with high chances of seeing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Taita Hills-Mombasa
Have an early morning game drive and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast continue with mid-morning game drive in the sanctuary with lunch at Taita Hills lodge. After lunch depart for Mombasa arriving in the early evening. Transfer and drop off at your beach hotel.
